FRANCIS OSOWSKI DIED

It is with heavy heart that I advise readers that Francis Osowski (the other half of FnL, Leonie Osowsky) died peacefully and pain free in the Palliative Care Unit of the Royal Melbourne Hospital at 8pm last night. I visited Frank in hospital on Thursday morning and read from some of Elizabeth Barrett Browning's poems, which he appeared to enjoy. I feel content to have been able to do that as we were friends for many years. Frank was born in Germany in 1947 and emigrated to Australia in the 1960s. He was a computer programmer before spending much of his time in the past two decades making unique artworks with his wife Leonie. Unfortunately he did not finish his translation of numerous works of Heidegger. You may find some of my commentary about the artworks of FnL at this link
