I watched Q & A again last night and was disappointed yet again with the questions posed and the way they were answered. Why did they spend an hour speculating on a possible 'Labor leadership challenge'? Can they find no other event that is news worthy? If you spend a little time looking at the achievements and the future proposals of the Australian Labor Party under Julia Gillard's leadership you will see that Gillard, against all odds (and there have been many) has managed to achieve a great deal since Labor's victory in 2010 and there is an interesting article, which gives a little history behind the ousting of Kevin Rudd on the World Socialist Website, that's worth a read. My take is that, unlike media reportage, I don't think there is a 'cat and mouse' game going on between Gillard and Rudd and that Gillard is just being smart. She continually exposes the media's intent (and of course, the Liberal Party's intent) to create discord between her and Rudd and has, as recently as yesterday said: 'I'm getting on with my job, Kevin Rudd's getting on with his. I'm doing that with the strong support of my caucus colleagues'.
