Several reasons why I haven't been writing blog posts every day. Firstly, I put in rather a big effort with the two film reviews I wrote this week and secondly, I'm trying to stay away from too much contact with screens because the glare from the computer monitor may be contributing to my vertigo and migraines. Over the past few days I've been doing a little research for a 'film as text' article on the 1996 film The Crucible commissioned by Australian Screen Education. I expect that the article will be published in June or July this year. Bye the way, I placed the PayPal button on the blog so that regular and sometimes readers have the opportunity to show their appreciation for posts that they read by making a small donation. I certainly don't expect to become wealthy by donations, but my son suggested I do this and I notice that other blog sites also have donation buttons. I've just worked out that I've made about 850 posts over the past few years, which accounts for approximately 2,500 hours of my time. Big effort I think, so please forgive me making fewer posts each week.
