Synapse #2. Acrylic paint on canvas. 45 x 35 cm. Julie Clarke, 2010
It took me three and a half hours to paint this one this morning. It includes several color mutations mixed from Southern Ocean Blue, Prussian Blue, Warm Yellow and Titanium White. I painted it on my balcony, whilst listening to the baby bird in the large tree across the way scream for food and watching its parents fly back and forth trying to satiate it. The painting represents my state of mind whilst being in the surrounding environment. I'll do another one in the next few days and post it.
Oh wow those are very nice Julie, and a contrast - one is warm the other cool. And they are both cool too. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you Steve. I enjoyed painting them with a tiny brush. I began another one late afternoon yesterday, it also has warm colors.
