Mid-Winter ~ I don't care what the weather bureau says, I'm sure it didn't get past 10 degrees today. If you walk out of your air-conditioned house into your air-conditioned car and then into an air-conditioned work-place, then you have absolutely no idea what Winter in Melbourne has actually been like. I'm a public transport person and I can tell you that today was hideously cold! I managed to get myself down to the pool and do 15 laps, but it was freezing when I got out and then, after coming home had to go out again to deliver my entry to CCP. The rain stopped just in time for me to walk to the gallery and then back to the bus. For this I am truly grateful. I had an appointment with the Podiatrist shortly after and spent a relaxing 45 minutes whilst she worked her magic on my walk-ravaged feet. She constructed a small prosthesis that looks like a partial denture made from chewing gum, for me to wear underneath my toes. I'm home now, warm, content, knowing that I have no commitments tomorrow ~ what bliss.
