AFL Grand Final

Yesterday I went to the Queen Victoria Market because I hadn't been there for ages and I knew there would be some accomplished buskers. My plan after that was to arrive at Federation Square at 1.40 pm to catch the pre-AFL Grand Final act by Robbie Williams at the MCG, which was televised onto the big screen. I had no plans to remain and watch the game with the thousands who had gathered on the uneven brick surface of Fed Square so left after the entertainment, the National Anthem and the begging of the match. However I did watch the second half of the match when I came home. Everyone knows by now that Geelong slaughtered Sydney.

The protestors that had been disrupting traffic in Melbourne almost every Saturday were there again at the entrance to Flinders street station causing police to stop all trams at the intersection.
