Tobacco price hike blantant discrimination.

Raising the price of tobacco products discriminates against those with a nicotine addiction and I don't believe that this strategy will coax people into giving up smoking especially those who have been smoking for a long time.  Those who can't afford the price hike will compensate by eating less, or eating cheaper foods with higher carbohydrate component thus causing weight gain, possible diabetes and heart problems. They may default on paying bills, go without other things, such as outings, which in turn may cause depression or more social isolation than they already experience. It's a money grabbing exercise and I'm extremely disappointed in the Labor government for this intended policy, especially since it is supposed to be a party that cares about marginalized groups. Surely there is a wealthier demographic that they could tax!
