Some gifts don't come wrapped. Walking down the street on Christmas Day with my lovely son and others, we were approached by a family (two adults and two children) who enquired as to whether we knew if any food shops were open. They had been visiting an elderly relative nearby and they were hungry. On our walk we had discovered all shops were closed, except the 7/11, so my son invited the family back to his place as there was plenty of food. They declined his offer, talked briefly and then continued walking in the direction of the shops. I was touched by my son's generosity of spirit and willingness to invite strangers into his home and am left with a warm glow that is still giving long after Christmas Day.
