What a fantastic afternoon. I picked up the last copy of un. magazine 4.1 at NGV members room at Federation Square (the mag is packed with lots of interviews, articles and art reviews) and then after a four block hike, Mark and I saw the Anne Zahalka exhibition of large photographs at ARC1 Gallery ~ the gallery director was so informative and friendly. Mark and I continued down Flinders Lane (down hill at last!) to view the Mike Parr exhibition at Anna Schwartz Gallery. If you get a chance check it out ~ the large-scale self-portraits and drawings are quite compelling. We finished our afternoon over coffee at Rosati's Restaurant (mosaic floors, Venetian decor & white tablecloths), which actually has an inside area (cordoned off from the restaurant area by large glass doors) where you can drink and smoke out of the cold wind. Mark and I have decided that we're going to make this gallery hop a regular thing .
