I don't know how to be philosophical about sickness and pain for I have experienced both in large quantities of late, except to say that whatever inpleasant experiences we have they could always be worse and by all accounts we would prefer only the symptoms we have. This, of course doesn't console me, it just places some things in perspective. The worst part is that simultaneous with my chronic pain I struggle with being unmotivated towards art and writing, the two things that have sustained me in life. I hope this changes soon for I feel utterly lost at the moment.
