I've done no drawings since August last year so yesterday I did a Sennelier (France) oil pastel on A4 paper work in response to a small, synthetic polymer on stretched canvas painting I did a decade ago. It's obvious that I am more expressive drawing with pencils and oil pastels. Although looking again at the painting, the lack of expressive marks does imbue a sense of quiet that the scene imparts.
