It was 4C degrees when I woke this morning and I'm cognizant of the fact that I need to make some minor changes to my play, which is now 5,800 words in length and near completion.
I've had some valuable comments and suggestions from Melbourne sound poet and playwriter Peter Murphy whose own play will be staged at La Mama theatre in 2023. I'm feeling confident enough to submit my play to them and cross fingers that it's well received.
I think that although my play is situated in the years 1951 and 1956 in Melbourne that there are affinities between the situation then and the current ethos.
