What an utterly strange world we live in. Here I am writing this little blog and Wikileaks is in the process of releasing over 2 million email messages from what is being dubbed 'the Syria file'. In sum, I believe the file exposes Western hypocrisy - but I guess that's nothing new.  The timing of this release appears opportune as Julian Assange's faces extradition to Sweden and needs to maintain his public profile. I have a number of questions: Why has Assange become a messianic figure and what does this say about us at this point in time? Are we so desperately in need of heroes of this kind? I've little more to add, except that I tire of this Saga and I tire of the climate change debate. Perhaps I'll always remain skeptical.
