I've just posted Painting #9 on the blog under the entry Paintings: Julie Clarke and this little piece of writing goes with it:

I understand NOT how she appeared - the woman in ballet dress
(or, is she clothed in period costume?)
her face not the only mask she wears in front of that ominous form.
I can see him. He's a tightrope walker,
balancing high above the liquid air - one slip & he's
a goner I heard them say.
& somewhere amidst soft spectral forms, myself, a
symbol of former time(s) - split & fragmented.
