There's a bird making a terwit, terwit, terwoo sound outside of my window, which is kind of nice because I've been on the go since I woke at 6 am this morning and hearing my Magpies warble and other bird sounds now is so relaxing. I tutor on Tuesdays and although I love doing so, I don't enjoy negotiating public transport, the endless waiting, the crowds and having to sit next to someone on a bus or tram speaking loudly into a mobile phone or listening to music on their iPod, which creates a distinctly crackling sound next to my ear. I have to draw on all my patience and by the end of the day there's not much I can tell you. Happy now that I'm home and can just vedge back into watching the news, although I already know that there are reports that one of Gadaffi's sons crashed kamikaze style into a compound in Tripoli. Very sad I think for his father, but there is so much grief in the world today and it doesn't look like it's going to end anytime soon. So, I relax into some kind of stupor as I type and listen to that unknown bird, singing its unknown song into early evening.
