New Regular Contributor

What a pleasure to be able to introduce my sister Lauren Howe as another regular contributor to the blog. Lauren is a fifty three year old Australian woman who lives and works in Melbourne. She is currently employed by RMIT, teaching students who are studying in the Diploma of Community Development Course through the Koori Community Services department. In 1991, at the age of thirty five she returned to study as a mature-aged student after a fifteen year stint as a bank employee. In 1995 she completed a Bachelor of Arts at Deakin University and in the following year completed a Graduate Diploma of Education and Training from The University of Melbourne. A career in TAFE teaching and the community sector followed. Last year she enrolled in a Master of International and Community Development. Her interests are politics, community development and social change. She has a daughter aged twenty three.
