Splice form
This is for the young people from RMIT Architecture Department (sorry, I don't know their names) who made this amazing sculptural chaise lounge that can be moved every which way ~ snake like, to form another shape. It appeared to be made from wire, plastic and cut sections of cardboard that could be concertina folded and carried around in one piece. They were demonstrating its flexibility near the Atrium at Federation Square this afternoon. I vaguely remember them calling it a splice form. Anyway, whatever it's called, I thought it was fantastic! I gave them my blog address, so if they read this I hope that they will clarify things and perhaps tell us more about their construction.
