Permit me to show you some process. I did a quick gouache painting based on the original photo of child in previous post and soon after took a digital photo of it, which I manipulated to include water lines. I followed this with a charcoal drawing trying to incorporate some of the figurative elements of another photo I'd taken of the child. Working with gouache is difficult because the medium dries quickly and charcoal, whilst easy to manipulate is dusty. Today I'll begin an acrylic painting on canvas, with an intent to distort the figure even more and incorporate more elements from other photos I took of the child. I'll post image of it when completed.

I really like it, I am ignorant about technical aspects but like the inside info on how it is done. All incarnations so far are pleasing, will look forward to the final.

Thanks Lauren, glad you find images pleasing. I think it's valuable to deconstruct the creative process, however must admit I'm as much in the dark as you as to how the final work will manifest.
