I have about 200 artworks and am slowly getting rid of the ones that I don't want to hold onto - mainly paintings, as I think my drawings are worth keeping. Here's one I will be holding onto as it's 32 years old. It's a polaroid self-portrait printed on A2 French printmaking paper that I made in 1995. I did a series of Polaroids and I look different in each one. I called this one Japanese Me because it reminded me of a Japanese postcard that I'd seen. All came under the title of Book ot the Other. I feel like I should do this clean out in order to know which direction I take in the future. So, art is on hold for me whilst I sort through past work.
